MOVIDA COMMUNICATIONS
Movida Communications, founded in 2005, is a wireless service provider offering pay-as-you-go wireless voice and data communications services. It is the nation's first and largest Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) targeted at the U.S. Latino community, committed to delivering culturally relevant products and services that specifically serve the Hispanic communities. Movida is not just another bilingual business, but instead integrates with its customers in the community in which they live every day, through a vast network of independent as well as national retailers.
Movida offers all standard custom calling features such as caller I.D. and voice mail, plus a suite of international voice and data services featuring culturally and geographically-focused content in Spanish. In addition Movida constantly seeks opportunities to bundle and deliver uncommon services that serve its customers in ways others do not. For example, Movida is innovating in areas such as wireless payment options and money transfer services that are high demand services for its specific customers.
In late 2007 the company's headquarters relocated from Miami, Florida to Kansas City, Missouri to be more central to its national customer base and increase emphasis on customer serviceability with key distribution and technology partners.
Movida prides itself in offering high quality services at a great value, while simultaneously integrating itself in the Hispanic communities that it serves. Its overall mission is to enable the Hispanic community to connect to the world in which they live without the burden of imposed annual contracts and irrational or inflexible pricing, while providing state-of-the art handsets and a vast inventory of wireless content download options that are Latino centric and relevant to Movida's customers. Movida is the preferred Hispanic wireless solution. |
